Several deaths later, I'm soldiering through (no pun intended) but my idiot self needs to save more often. But I figured I had enough mental experience to handle it.

Perhaps it's because I'm playing on Normal instead of Casual, which is what I usually do with new characters. I keep getting my ass kicked by bad timing, positioning, getting hit really hard.

And that's just coincidence, by the way) never did in the lower levels. I've died several times, in ways that my level 59 (who was a vanguard class. I'd rather restart as a soldier, because I've seen how awesome Assault Rifles can be in higher levels.īut from levels 1-20 I've stuck with some Avenger 2 Rifle, and it sucks. I diverted from my level 59, because I don't want to even try to get the 120,000~ experience needed to get to level 60 and the achievement. Otherwise, in some games leveling takes a longass time and characters should not be gimped because of it.īeen playing Mass Effect after I beat Assassin's Creed.

If not though, I'm with the majority and think I could curbstomp them. My general opinion is if some level 10 has a good history and a skilled sword-arm, I'd allow them to hold a candle to my level 71 if they roleplay properly. This arguement is pretty much in every game and universe that RP takes place in. Gods, this is not exclusive to the debate I just had with a fellow DDO roleplayer, either. Then there's the other debate of Level mattering in RP. Even with that in mind, I really shouldn't take so much offense to this. He's certainly changed and evolved in the last 15 years, but he essentially began when I was like, five. M is a character I created when I was a child, as a defense against nightmares. If people just understood THAT, they could tolerate him so much more. Hell, that's why he went by the alias "M" in his early life because he DOESN'T always fight through every damn thing he comes across. One being, despite him being a warrior at heart, he understands politics, espionage, stealth and disguise. But I always think of mental loopholes to avoid that. If conflict arises, I try to avoid it with dialog or just running the hell away, even though he could probably nuke the shit out of them, if he really wanted to. The other backdoor is, I try not to get him in combat much when roleplaying with other people. He's got a handful of other weaknesses I won't share here but, that's the big one. Damage it enough, he pretty much does the same thing as the Trilestas (Don't look that up, It's a word I made up). M is a god, but he's not without a backdoor. Of course, that would kind of kill my RP for a given amount of time but that's the price I pay for having a demi-god character. My Trilesta sub-race of shadow-assassins? Dismember them (beheading words best) and their 'soul' will get shoved into M's realm where they kind of have to wander around for up to a month (sometimes, the time it takes has several factors). Ford Tough.ĭespite this tendency, I always, ALWAYS have a back-door. My defense against this? Build tough characters. Despite it being well known that roleplayers have NO right to kill other roleplayers' characters, a lot of battles, fighting, and murder attempts happen anyway. Anyone who can't die (in ANY sense) generally gets a lot of ire from the community. There's various names for essentially the same thing.Īll that aside, it really DOESN'T come to any surprise that I get some flak from people for actually roleplaying him in-game. Apparently nobody has ever heard of Planeswalkers or Realm Wanderers. Oh, and they'd be borderline homicidal if I ever told them about how he realm-hops.

When people are pissed about him being over 45,000 years old, they blow a gasket when I even imply that he's also a dragon underneath his human-like exterior. I make it no secret that I have a particularly overpowered character. 56.3 Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009).If you're struggling to progress if all the levels have been squeezed out of as much xp (too many swarmings to fend off or have to deal with giant that instantly wipe too much mana, set the monsters to armored only to eliminate them and take advantage of the wild gem that makes a world of difference. All this will guarantee ten thousands of xp on the first few levels. Ways to grind as much XP out of many levels based on what you can get out of them (once you are high on a level enough to revisit): max setting on monster amount & hit points next to high banishment cost, raiding tombs, building 10 towers and 5 amplifiers, destroying nests, creating grade 6 gem, summoning 60 monsters to get score multiplied (I use grade 3 or 4 at most), build 2 shrines, 10 towers, 5 amplifiers while only having them around two towers with gems as high as you’re allowed to go, and get 100 or even 200 kills and sending in waves really early.
